Project Title: Youth Engagement 

Project Description:  The Seedfolks Project will take ‘Seedfolks’ by Paul Fleischman and engage youth/students and residents with a performance of the book, which will be a springboard for them to develop their own original Seedfolks monologues. Performances of Seedfolks and the student developed monologues, will be performed at locations throughout the Collinwood area.

Community Engagement Strategy: Jimmie Woody, (actor, director & arts educator), plans to hire actors of different diverse backgrounds to perform Seedfolks for youth and residents. After engaging them with a performance, he will use that performance as a platform to get students to develop and perform their own original version of Seedfolks. This will take place in the Collinwood area through several engaging workshops which will document the performance and workshops in an engaging documentary/video.
